What do participating teams say about the Spring Invitational. The following comments were taken from the 2008 tournament:

• I had two teams take part in the Arlington Spring tournament a U12 boys team and a U10 girls team.  I have to say the tournament was amazingly well run and it was a fantastic event.  The fields were fantastic and the competition was top notch. The boys weekend at the U12 age group had 3 man referee crews and that was a nice change from other tournaments in the area.  However, I would have to say my only criticism is at the U10 girls age group.....  we only had a 1 man/woman crew, that requested each team provide a sideline parent to run the flag. (To keep tournament fees economical - U10 & U11 games will continue to utilize 1 referee - which is the standard for league play and tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic region)
• The entire tournament was well run with great officiating.  We appreciated the fact that all the games were played.  I had two teams in it – and chose Arlington because of the turf fields…we were happy to be able to play quality teams on quality fields. I mentioned this at check-in – but I am now on a mission after driving 4 ½ hours on Friday night – simply from Germantown, MD  to register the team for a 5 minute process.  I think the pre-registration is a huge waste of time.  All of it can be done with the players – 1 hour before game time with cards. (For 2009 - we will waive, upon request, Friday evening registration for teams from Howard County, Baltimore, Southern MD, Fredericksburg, and upper Montgomery County)
• Great job as usual.  Fields were great, matches ran on-time, good competition, refs were good.
• The Herndon Fusion had a wonderful time. Dispute the weather, your entire staff was accommodating and all games went according to the rules and time. I can understand how difficult it must have been short of a snow storm prediction to get this together and carry it out smoothly. Please give all of the volunteers our Thanks for a great job.
• Thank you and the Arlington Soccer Club for hosting the Arlington Spring Invitational Tournament this weekend.  The fields were great and despite the weather, overall I thought the tournament was a success. I do have one recommendation. In the future, I would recommend you delay the championship game or at least play a consolation game between the final flight game and the championship game.(Point taken. We will look at lengthening the gap between prelims and finals - while balancing referee assignments to keep the final games as competitive and fair as possible)
• Terrific job on the tournament.  It was organized and well planned.  Your directions and information sheet was informative and to the point. The registration was efficient and your club seemed very welcoming.   Although our team did not play well, I have to admit it had nothing to do with the tournament. Having all the games on turf is one of the main reasons we considered such an early tournament in the DC area.  We will certainly consider returning next year, and hopefully will play better!
• The Chantilly Blast BU12 classic enjoyed the tournament very much. it
  was well organized and the staff was forthcoming.
  I hope we have the opportunity to play in your tournament in the future.
• I think overall the tournament was a success.  The volunteers at our site 'Virginian Highlands' were friendly, polite and helpful.  I would build in more time between the last game and the championship game.  In our case we upset the #1 seed and were had to play back to back games for the championship. (We would like to build in a longer gap. There are some field availability issues, but we could at least provide a 90 minute gap between the final prelim and championship match).
• Very Good tournament, Washington and Lee High was a fine place to play in Downtown Arlington. the competition was very good. We had a great weekend parents, players, and coach's.
• Thanks for a great weekend! We really enjoyed the tournament and all of the sites in the D.C. area. It was a great start to our spring season. I look forward to next year and will encourage our "B" team to consider your tournament as well. Good and luck with your season.
• On behalf of Chantilly Soccer Club and the Strikers, we would like to thank Arlington Soccer for the invitation and an excellent tournament.  Everyone had a great attitude, the competition was top flight, event scheduling was at reasonable intervals, the fields were great, and the officiating was particularly good.
