Arlington Spring Invitational Boys Weekend
March 1-2, 2008

The Spring Invitational would like to thank and congratulate all participating teams for a great weekend of soccer. The level of play and great sportsmanship in both the Premier and Classic divisions was impressive. Players, parents, referees, and tournament volunteers adjusted well to Saturday’s blustery conditions and were rewarded with a relative "balmy" day of soccer on Sunday.

On the competitive side it was a good weekend for local clubs. Arlington, Loudoun, and PWSI each produced two tournament champions. Arlington and Loudoun also had two tournament finalists. Arlington’s championships came in the Premier division. The U10 Impact Red won a thrilling final in extra time over GSC TAP Milan 3-2. The U15 Arlington Venom defended their 2007 title. The Venom rallied with 3 second half goals to defeat Arlington Premier 4-2.
