Arlington Travel Soccer Club

The ASA Player Fee for each season includes:

  • Coaching Compensation — The ASA makes it a priority to select and retain the finest coaching staff in the area. All payments to your team coach, and assistant coach, will be made by the ASA.

  • Staff Compensation — The ASA employs a qualified, professional staff to direct and oversee all aspects of the travel soccer program. These positions include a Technical Director, a Director of Coaching, and an Executive Director. All or a portion of these salaries are paid from the player fees.

  • ASA Uniform — The ASA player fee includes a uniform kit every two years starting in the fall 2009. The kit included 2 jerseys, a pair of shorts and two pairs of socks.

  • VYSA, USYSA and USSF Fees — registration, insurance and other benefits with the Virginia Youth Soccer Association, the United States Youth Soccer Association and the United States Soccer Federation.

  • Tournaments — the ASA will cover the application fee for three tournaments per team/per year. These tournaments will be selected by the team, with approval by the Club. Any additional team tournaments, once approved by the club, will be paid for by the team.

  • Coach Expenses at Tournaments — the ASA will pay for the team coach to attend maximum of one approved, out-of-town tournaments each year. The total reimbursement will not exceed $300 per team. Additional expenses for coach travel will be approved by the club and paid for by the team.

  • Club Administration Costs — on-line registration, office supplies etc.

  • League Membership and Fees — fees for team participation in the appropriate league.

  • Off Season Playing Opportunities — team training, age group training, player clinics and other training opportunities, offered by the club during the off-season months, for players in all age groups.

  • ASA Community Outreach Programs — club sponsored and supported programs to promote soccer to disadvantaged children in the Arlington and Falls Church communities.

  • Risk Management and Background Checks — security checks performed on all ASA coaches.

  • Player Development Programs — supplemental player development programs, offered during the season, such as skill clinics, functional training and goalkeeper training.

  • Financial Assistance Program — to support families that demonstrate financial need.

  • Discounted Purchasing — through the club’s relationship with Eurosport, all travel club families receive discounts on soccer purchases made through Eurosport.

The ASA Player Fee does not include:

  • Additional tournaments — teams wishing to play in additional tournaments will have to pay for them<./p>

  • Winter indoor league fees / Futsol league fees — the player fee does not include winter indoor leagues or futsol league fees.

  • Club patches — Club patches, traditionally given out at tournament are not included.

  • STAR referee expenses — ASA does not reimburse a team for STAR referee program expenses.

The ASA strives to make the player fee as comprehensive and a low as possible. The only additional expenses a player should incur would be for personal soccer equipment, travel and tournament expenses beyond those provided by the Club.
