The U12 Ajax and U12 Juventus girls traveled to Hershey, PA for their final competition of the year over Father’s Day weekend. While the "competition" started on Friday with feats of courage (rollercoasters) and strength (chocolate consumption) at Hershey Park, the girls dug out their cleats and shin guards on Saturday to play some football.

Ajax set the tone right away with victories over teams from Pennsylvania (2-0) and New Jersey (4-1), and then New York (2-0) in the semifinals. Ajax then had a rematch with Council Rock in the final and saved its best for last with a scintillating 4-0 performance in a 40 minute (rain-shortened) final. Juventus, with some key support from sister Dynamo, were also bang on form in their division with victories over a team from New Jersey (3-1) and then fellow WAGS sides ABGC White (2-1), and then NVSC Blue (1-0) in the semifinals. Playing with only two subs, Juventus really turned on the style for a rematch with ABGC in a dominating 3-0 performance, also in a 40 minute (rain-shortened) final.

Coach Chris, who enjoyed a special Father’s Day weekend with his family and the girls he’d coached for the last four years, is tremendously proud of his teams playing so well in his last games as coach, and was thrilled to walk off the pitch together with both Ajax and Juventus as Champions. Congratulations Girls!
