Katie Yensen, a member of the U15G Arlington Blitz, has been invited to attend the USSF National ODP ID Camp in Southern California July 30 to August 5. Katie plays on the 1993 Virginia State Team and attended the ODP Regional Camp in Rhode Island in mid-July. Out of the 385 girls that attended the camp in Rhode Island, 25 girls including Katie were selected to represent Region 1 at the National Camp.

Katie has played travel soccer in Arlington since she was U9. She currently plays up an age group for the ATSC Blitz, a division 2 WAGS team. She is coached by Grant Smith, Director of Coaching for ATSC. “Katie is the hardest working player I have ever known in any age group” says Coach Smith. “She puts the time and effort into improving her game every day and the results speak for themselves”!

The Club is very proud of her achievement and we wish Katie the best of luck at camp and in her future soccer endeavors.
