Arlington’s U12 Boys Impact White team won its flight in the SAC Columbus Day Tournament, going undefeated with four consecutive wins in two days over Columbus Day weekend, October 10-11, 2009.
The Impact team started by defeating the host SAC United Classic 3 team, 2-1 in the opening game on Saturday morning, then beat the Seneca Dragons III by a score of 3-1 in the afternoon. Sunday morning, the Impact wrapped up its bracket and earned a shot at the championship by shutting out Damascus United, 4-0.
In the championship game, the Impact faced off against SAC United Classic 2, which had won the opposing bracket. Arlington prevailed 5-1 on solid team play, ball movement and defense.
