ATSC Legend Player Competes in the ODP National Finals
Iyassu Bekele of the U16B Legend played this past weekend (March 8 & 9) for the Virginia State ’92 ODP team in the ODP National Finals in Frisco, TX. Unfortunately, after defeating a very tough Cal. South squad 3-2 in the semi-final, the VA boys fell by the reverse scoreline to Indiana in the championship game.
Iyassu was picked out of the ASA Civitans club in the spring of 2006 to play travel soccer. Since then, Iyassu has had great success in NCSL as well as district and state ODP. Congratulations to Iyassu on being an ODP National Championship Finalist!
