The Fusion finished 6-2-1 in Fall 2008 play - a dramatic improvement from last season’s 2-6-1 record. The season, the boys found momentum and saw success as we took 3rd place in NCSL Division 3 play. The new faces on our team, Andrew & Gustavo, made their additions felt all season long. Alex had a stellar season in the goal for both the Fusion and Bishop OConnell. Daniel and Colin also survived a tough and long season with BOC. Arthur survived many injuries and played through a lot of pain all season long and remained solid in the middle. Chris anchored the defense with steady and consistent support from Hank and Mason. Carl saw success both in the attack and in the goal for our last 2 games. George provided steady play on the left wing all season long. Sean found the back of the net twice this season. Jay was a solid presence in the middle of the attack with Freddy (scoring the game winner in one match)and Fitz on the outsides. We found Danny can be an effective outside mid.Soufan’s confidence increased, matching his dedication to the team.  Kevin continuted to show his dedication to the Fusion giving valuable minutes wherever possible. Pepi also filled into multiple roles and supported the sense of team. 

The team will take the winter off as some players will participate in the indoor sessions at the Fairfax Sportsplex. We look forward to promoting (expected!) to Division 2 in the Spring of 2009. The Fusion is seeking to add 3 quality/impact players to help us complete our roster for the coming spring season.
