This weekend saw the Fusion go 3-0 at the August Cup in Maryland. We competed against 2 Loudoun teams, winning both games 1-0 & 3-2....with the second game being a rally from down 0-2 at the half!! On Sunday, we topped the Damascus Striders in a hard fought 1-0 win at the SoccerPlex. Overall, the weekend was a success, getting good pre-season playing time against quality competition as well team building for the Fall. But the boys were disappointed as we did not advance to a championship game based on goal differential. Odd brackets by the tournament had us finish 2nd in our group. Goals this weekend were scored by George, Daniel, Alex/Kevin, Chris and Mason.
