Ajax Undefeated at Virginian
Stopped after 8 rounds of Penalty Kicks after 0-0 draw with Herndon
Ajax of Arlington were in scintillating form this weekend in winning their group in the U10 Girls Gold Division at the Virginian tournament this weekend. Collecting all 9 available points with matching 3-1 victories over tough LOUD Celtic and STER Titans sides, Ajax came into Sunday and a 4-0 win over the Cecil Sonics to claim a place in the Semifinals. Against a disciplined Herndon Heat side, Ajax could not make the best of a shots on goal advantage to put away the Heat and were left at a 0-0 draw and the mercy of the penalty kick shootout. After 8 rounds of penalty kicks, Ajax were denied a chance to play in the Championship game. Where the focus of the weekend was the consistent play of the team, Ajax were all class. Big thanks to our supporters and friends, and congratulations to the Ajax players on a tremendous weekend. Special thanks to R&J!
In Fall 2007, Ajax completed a very challenging season. Here are the highlights:
- Ajax collected 18 points in WAGS Division A losing only 1 match (0-2 away to Loudoun Red/Pride) - enough for 3rd place. Ajax scored 27 goals while conceding only 10 with 3 shutouts.
- Ajax competed in 4 tournaments starting with a highly challenging warm-up at the Cardinal Cup before competing in two Premier Elite events reaching 1 Semifinal. Ajax also took the Championship at the NVSC Fall Classic.

- WAGS Tournament: 1W 2L 1T
- CASL Shootout - Raleigh, NC: SEMIFINALIST - 2W 1L 0T - 5 GF 4 GA

- Overall record after warm-ups: 11 Wins, 4 Losses, 5 Ties - 45 Goals Scored 28 Goals Against - Goal Differential +17
- Great sportsmanship - No yellow or red cards throughout the season.
