CHAOS RED WINS 2010 DULLES SPORTSPLEX WINTER LEAGUE FOR A SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR
TEAM FINISHES UNDEFEATED IN PREMIER DIVISION
Congratulations to the players and coaches of the Arlington Chaos Red girl’s U10 travel soccer team. The Chaos Red completed its indoor season at the Dulles Sportsplex undefeated and in first place in the premier division for the second year in a row. The team was coached by Erik Footland with assistance from Dan O’Neil, Erin Footland and Jennifer Crawford.
2009 North American Sand Soccer Championships
Virginia Beach, VA on June 6-7
Congratulations to the Arlington Chaos Red and Arlington Chaos Blue U9 girls for a successful weekend of sand soccer in the 2009 North American Sand Soccer Championships in Virginia Beach, VA on June 6-7. Team Slurpee and Team Slushy, made up of players from both Chaos teams and coached by Erik Footland, with assistance from Erin Footland, were both undefeated in group play, won their brackets and qualified for the semi-finals. Team Slushy lost their semi-final game to LFC Tornado in penalty kicks but Team Slurpee qualified for the final and won the championship over LFC Tornado 2-0.
Congratulations to the Arlington Chaos Red for their outstanding play in the 2009 Virginian Soccer Tournament. The Chaos Red qualified for the Finals in the Premier Gold Division (the highest division in the age group) and played the Cape Fear Courage from North Carolina. The Chaos Red finished group play with a record of three wins, zero losses and a tie.
The U9G Chaos Red and Blue met in the championship game of their winter indoor league in the top division at Dulles Sportsplex. The two teams, both coached by Erik Footland, with Assistant Coaches Dan O’Neil and Erin Footland, finished with identical records and in a tie for first after league play, qualifying them for the championship game. A spirited all Arlington championship game resulted. Congratulations Chaos RED and BLUE!
