Monday, May 25th, Championship Game: Winner of Division A versus Winner of Division B
We play this game if we are the winner of Division A. Game is at noon.
All of our games will be played at Hellwig Park, Field 5 (more or less, in the same area where we played the Icebreaker Tournament in March). The Championship Game will be played at a different field, but let’s cross that bridge if we get there. There are two options for driving to Hellwig Park, either via 95-S or via 66-W. Normally, it is better to go via 95-S; however, you might want to look at the traffic report that morning and make a decision. In either case, PLEASE LEAVE EARLY. It is Memorial Day weekend, and we should expect traffic and potential back-ups.
From I-95-South: Proceed south on I-95 and exit at Route 234 (Dumfries Road). Bear right at top of ramp and continue north on Route 234 towards Manassas approximately 7 miles. Turn left on Route 619-W (Bristow Road). Park entrance is about 100 yards on your left after you turn on to Bristow Road. Note: Route 619-E, which goes to I-95/Quantico, also bears left approximately 1/4 mile before Route 619-W. Be sure to proceed past Route 619-E and turn at Route 619-W.
1. As always, please arrive 30 minutes before each game. Bring both jerseys, both pairs of socks (in case it is wet), plenty of water, and fresh fruit for energizing the boys before games.
2. Let’s have a team lunch between our two games on Saturday AND Sunday. Keep your eyes open for ideas as you approach the field.
